22nd August 2023: Hon. Saurabh Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, recently visited Samoa as part of his Pacific tour.
During his visit, he engaged in a Foreign Ministry consultation to discuss bilateral matters and also conducted visits to various project sites. The project sites that he visited included a meeting with Aualiaimalae Tagaloa Dr. Robert Thomsen at the Ministry of Health.
He also visited the SENESE Project Site at Vaitele, which is an important initiative focusing on special needs education. Additionally, Hon. Saurabh Kumar visited a beneficiary of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund at the National University of Samoa (NUS).
This partnership aims to promote education, research, and development in Samoa. Throughout his visit, Hon. Saurabh Kumar was accompanied by a delegation of four from the High Commission of India based in Wellington, New Zealand.
This visit has further strengthened the ties between India and Samoa, fostering partnership and cooperation.
